No Embossing – Canada CD 145 [010] This is a really nice piece. Unfortunately, I ended up with two of them, and I only want one. It is in excellent condition. I can't find any nick, ding or pinprick anywhere on the piece. There are two small circular areas on the dome that looks like flaws in the glass, but, in both cases, the surface is smooth to the touch. Not sure exactly what is going on, but it appears to be beneath the surface. These are very small areas and not that noticeable. They are also hard to photograph. Upon request, I will send the best close-up shot I can get. There is also something on the dome that is hard to see and feels like a nick; but it is just an annealing line.

The hardest thing to show with these pieces is the color. Looking at those listed in the book…….it seems too dark to be straw. It is not pink and does not appear to have enough red or pink in it to be peach. Might be yellow straw, but I don't know what yellow straw looks like. I'd say it is sort of a cross between a darker straw and peach. The color does not show well in bright sunlight. It actually looks better in regular room lighting. The picture shown was taken under a daylight fluorescent lamp. I am posting a second photo that shows it next to a clear piece; which is the best way to see how dark it is.
