Took another 60 mile motorcycle ride and came home with only one insulator. Found this one at an antique market all by it's lonesome. As I was paying the cashier I was informed that somebody purchased other insulators shortly ago. My guess is that other collecting soul either didn't see this one, didn't want it because it looked like just another dirty little B or it wasn't a style or CD the other collector was looking for. Myself, I'll pick any insulator up and give it a good looking over. As I said, this one had some soot, but not enough to hide the milk I could see inside it. I could also see there was a blotch of amber or something in the dome with a couple currving stringers coming off that little blotch. The light also wasn't the best upstairs in the loft were the seller booth was located. It wasn't until I arrived back home that I could identify the twisted braded wire inside that blotch of amber. Sorry the milk in this pick doesn't show very well. If you want a better look at this great piece follow the link below. From there click previous or next at the top of the page for more. Thanks for looking and good hunting to you all!! [id=281698574] |
