Thanks to Dave Dangora, I was able to add this fantastic transposition to my foreign porcelain collection at the Yankee Pole Cat get together this past Saturday. Dave writes that, "This one was manufactured and is stamped VERBANO with the date of 1931. There is also another number stamped on the insulator which may be a production line number but that I am not sure. These transpositions where used on the Rimini to San Marino Railroad line in Italia. Rimini is on the Adriatic coast and this railroad may have been a very short (1.5KM) cable line." In the inset, you can see a photograph of the marking on the top of this insulator. Enjoy! |
