The old Medalta pottery works in Redcliff Alberta is now a historic site. The beehive kilns are still there, but are slowly deteriorating. Medlata and 5 other local industries got their clay from a huge deposit, hence the name Redcliff. Medalta made 3 styles of insulators but are mostly known for their large crockery jugs with the brown glaze bands on the top.
