Further raking turned up another half of a CD 190... unfortunately it did not fit the half I had found previously! This would make sense as the CD 190/191s were often used in pairs. Extensive further raking did not turn up any more pieces! Frustrating, as it seems like they have to be there somewhere... along with the matching CD 191s. I left the pieces behind, in approximately the same locations as originally found. I like to do this anytime there is a possibility that a future collector might work the site further and find the missing parts. If I walked off with them that would be pretty frustrating, and what am I really going to do with a broken piece anyway?

It is interesting to note that these Prisms were all aqua to blue aqua, and the pinhole top showed no evidence of an "Elmer ring". (The green CD 191 that I had in my collection does show an "Elmer ring".) The 1902 construction of this power line fits in well with the history of the Elmer, NJ glass houses, as it has been speculated that the earlier production was around 1902 using mainly aqua to blue glass. This was also the time and place when the Sterling insulators were made, and there may be a connection. I have also found CD 102 Star insulators along other sections of this line in aqua. Later production at the Elmer, NJ glass houses seemed to favor green glass (on to 1907 or even later).

That's all for now... perhaps I will have future stories from this line. It has been very good to me in the past as well. It does go to show that there are still some nice things to be found in the wild!
