Script Hemingray No 12s are hard to come by. I regard them as scarce at best. These two examples are from the same original mold. The piece on the right is the earlier, and probably the original version of this mold with the deeper wire groove being the telling sign. The piece on the left is the later version of this mold with more girth above the lower wire groove, re-shaped upper wire ridges and groove, and a replaced, mis-matched, or re-machined dome cap. It is difficult to get enough examples of this insulator in one place at one time to do a thorough study of these molds, so I welcome any collector with other specimens to contact me with photos, maskings, foil rubs, or offers to sell or trade.
