These seemed to have dried up in the market in recent years, but here are two fresh from a 30 year collection. Both are very nice examples with tons of red amber. Due to the improper mixture of cullet in the glass batches that produced these, internal factory stress is very common. Both of these fall into this category, but are very nice examples that display nicely. These are tough to photograph due to their color density. The one on the left has a 1 1/2" stress fracture in the rear skirt off the meeting point of the inner skirt, but is well hidden in the color. It also has a little typical flaking to the inside of the base rim and a small isc. I just priced it at $135 on the sticker, but let's go $125, plus actual shipping. The one on the right has the same typical flaking or very shallow minor bruising to the inside of the sharp base rim. Upon very close inspection I see an extremely inconspicuous stress line where the inner skirt meets the outer skirt--it's hidden very well and you really have to look hard to find it. I didn't even know it was there until writing this description on it. Again, very typical for these. I had it priced at $185, but I'll reduce it to $145 due to the hidden stress, plus actual shipping. I have base and rear shots if you need them. The base shot reveals the tiger striping a little better. |
