Up for sale is another of these beautiful, bright Hemingray blue CD 145s. Although I'm a fanatic for Canadian glass, I have to admit that I love the way these Hemingray blue pieces sparkle in the sunlight. This piece is amazingly clean, with absolutely no sign of staining, soot, anything along those lines. This piece is the [100] embossing style, with HEMINGRAY / MADE IN U.S.A. on the front, and "No. 21" on the rear. The really neat part about this one is the ghost-embossing of HEMINGRAY just above the embossing on the front skirt. All of "MINGRAY" is visible above the HEMINGRAY embossing. The ghosting is not particularly clear, but on a quick glance you can easily see the "washboard" look of the glass above the embossing, and a closer look quite easily reveals the shapes of each of the letters. Unusually enough, the letters in "MADE" are also very widely spaced. I am not sure why this is, but the spacing of the letters in "MADE" is easily twice that of the letters in "HEMINGRAY". A bit of an odd piece! These are normally badly chipped up in the drips department. This one isn't too bad in that area, with a total of 8 partially nicked drips. Only 2 of these are visible from the front view shown, however. Aside from those nicked drips, there is one very, very flat inner skirt flake about 1/8" wide. I would rate the piece as being good condition. I'm asking $9.00 U.S. plus shipping for this example. Few insulators will shine in your window the way this one does. I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best! |
