This whole mountain region of Southern British Columbia is loaded with mines, ghost towns, and abandoned railway spur lines. It is also some very very difficult terrain to access. Next I will post some more insulator hunting pics of our hike to the top of Mt. Reco, a 8600-foot peak up there above the tree line where there was, of course, a mine, and a townsite with mine workings. This photo was taken in May, but we went up there in September when the snow was melted. |
