Sandon, BC regional view

This whole mountain region of Southern British Columbia is loaded with mines, ghost towns, and abandoned railway spur lines. It is also some very very difficult terrain to access. Next I will post some more insulator hunting pics of our hike to the top of Mt. Reco, a 8600-foot peak up there above the tree line where there was, of course, a mine, and a townsite with mine workings. This photo was taken in May, but we went up there in September when the snow was melted.
