We drove up this forest service road about 6 miles through the clearcuts to try to get to the top of the mountain where the mines were located, but could not drive there without the use of an excavator to do roadwork along the way. Washed-out logging access roads guaranteed to make your kidneys scream! On several occasions we all get out of the truck except the driver, to cross dangerous sections, usually road sections tilted toward cliff edges.
