Mount Cornfield up the Sitkum Creek drainage is between 6-mile Creek drainage and the Kokanee Glacier, in the mountains of south-central British Columbia. We went up there to look for insulators last summer at the old ghost town and nearby mine workings. We found that forest fires had pretty much reduced all the buildings and workings to rubble. They had a powerhouse, tramway for ore carts, a blacksmith shop, steam plant, townsite, an ore concentrator, and a mine. There was evidence of electrical lines and equipment everywhere. Good place for an insulator hunt.

Here's the power plant. Also in this building is the motor for pulling the tramway cables up and down the mountain from the mine a good mile away.
