I found this in an antique shop in Lyndonville Vermont a few years ago. It is embossed : No3 SAMSON BATTE E C L C BOSTON The end of the word battery RY is so weak it is not visible or it is an embossing error. Payed only a few bucks for it. Good find. Does anyone know anything about this battery jar??
