Walking along the S.P.& S. mainline, this old openwire telephone lead still stands in part, as it went to a nearby farmhouse, now collapsed. Looks like they doubled-up the brackets for the 100' span over the tracks. Insulators appear to be Hemingray -16's, of the smooth base variety. Funny, for how old this pole may seem, the glass is quite modern.
