CD 127 [010] W. U. PATTERN with L.A.C.S PAT. JULY 25th 1865 around the dome. There is a large 4 within a circle on the top of the dome. The W.U. PATTERN embossing is very strong as is the large 4 on the top of the center of the dome. The L.A.C.S PAT JULY 25th 1865 around the dome is lighter which is typical but it is all readable. There are 2 small shallow pinky nail flakes on the side of the skirt below the T and E in PATTERN. You can see them in the picture. There is a shallow pinky digit flake on the side of the dome that takes out the A.C. in L. A. C. S. If you display it as I have pictured, then you won't see it. The surface is original and untumbled. It has assorted small pings and small rust stains typical of a piece that might have been in the ground for a while and typical of W.U. PATTERNs I have seen. I doubt if any of these were actually picked from service. Very respectable with great amber character and heavy thick glass. This is a piece I purchased from the late Ora Berry a few years back. He was a specialist in early threaded western Pennsylvania glass. Additional pictures upon request. Price $406.66 shipped. First email! Sold for $350.00.
