Well I don't think I have seen these here before 2 wood third rail insulators with base and tops. One I found in 1970 the other I bought at a chicago club meet. The embossing in the iron tops cover the history of the rail. one wood is mint the other is missing 1/3 of the wood but displays ok fro the other side one top has A E & C RR CO 2ns top has C A E RR Co -- hard to read and not sure if I have it right but railroad history shows they changed the name back in the 1800's so one is real old and the other is only old - 40.00 plus postage a unique Illinois RR history set |
