I went to a church euchre night (it's a card game) and as I walked up the steps another couple was coming in and we all noticed some common insulators along the walk. Well I just about dropped my covered dish as one of them was this dot-dash Wade! I carefully carried it in and told the white haired lady that she should keep this one inside. She replied that it was in a bucket of "junk" that her husband Irv left in the basement, and as she cleaned up she put them along her walkway as she thought they looked pretty in the sun! I promised I would sell it for her here it is. There is a fracture on the top side, shown in the photo. No glass missing on the fracture, but the base has a few light flakes, the biggest one shown, and the other side displays very well.. The skirt shows a slight matte haze where the wood cover didn't protect it like the top area, which is nice & shiny. This could be polished off, but I think it's cool as-is. She doesn't know where Irv found it, but they have lived in PA, OH, MI and now Indiana. Price is $225 plus actual shipping, with all money going to the widow. I will pack it so it's bullet proof, but insurance against loss is highly recommended. |
