I have obtained a number of very ancient and unique European telegraph insulators. This photo shows one Cooke barrell insulator in brown stoneware with original u-shaped bracket, ca 1845. Furthermore are three Reid Bros telegraph insulators with original zinc covers, marked "REID 1851" & "REID 1852". Then are three Belgian insulators from the 1850's with their original looped iron wire holder cemented in the centre. Also are four flat-topped smaller insulators, three of them still with original paper in pinholes for their fastening, and the smallest mounted on an iron pin. Last is a lead-in insulator with seven holes.

The Zicme CD 154 is there for size comparison.

I let the photo speaks for itself. If you know European insulators, you know these are unique!
