Here's a 164 number 38 – 20 (I believe these were made by Lynchburg or Gayner). I'm always looking for the unusual in this one qualifies. Most of these are found in a blue or aqua, and are the most part pretty boring. They are known for having been made out of glass that is usually crystal clear with no imperfections inside the glass. For this reason when you find one that has milk and carbon streaks in it, you have something that is relatively scarce for this particular brand of insulator. This one qualifies it has some carbon folds and swirls in it on the left side, and milky streaks all throughout the glass. Condition....... close to mint as a couple of very small tiny flakes and that's about it. The glass is clean and shiny and will display very well backlit for the carbon streaks, and under lit for the white milky swirls. It looks better in person. Box 210 Brandon, FL 33509 This is my 40th year selling insulators to the Hobby. I try very hard to come up with unusual items most collectors never see. 90% of the time these items are sold at any of the number shows that I attend. Right now there won't be a show until the end of March. I thought I would list a few items here that, if you really know your insulators, you should be interested in. I have always dealt in the unusual items not a run-of-the-mill average insulators you see everyday. For some reason collectors have come to my table to look for things that are different and interesting. I believe the following insulators listed here fit into that category. Thanks for looking hope you find what you're after. |
