Vasily mentioned to me that he has suspended his collecting trips as it is now bitterly cold in Belarus. It seems collecting insulators is not quite so much fun at minus 25C [ 13 below zero].

This is one of the few pictures of Belarus where I have seen some blue sky. Usually the skies have been overcast. Notice in the background the heavy Hoar Frost on the trees, and the clearly defined fog bank to the right, as it recedes. You can still see the fog in the trees in the left background as the fog continues to move away.

I hope it warms up soon so Vasily can take some more great pictures for us to enjoy.
