I found this insulator sometime when I was a teenager in the mid to late 1990's. It was found at the base of a pole on the "KATY" RR. in Texas. It is so warped that it won't thread down on a pin. So, it looks like it was thrown at the base of the pole by the lineman when he could see that it wouldn't be usefull.
