Here is a brown porcelain exchange that was used on a Railroad power line that ran next to a concrete plant. Over the years concrete dust from the plant mixed with rain made a thick coating of solid concrete on the outside surface of the insulator and wire. Note the long drips of concrete on the bottom of this piece! I would hate to see the lungs of the guys who worked at the plant!
