This is a hand-spliced mosaic of four pictures from July of 2003 of various Aussies on what was then my south-facing office window sill. Because it is not a "central projection", Autopano cannot splice them together. In this case, I used CorelDraw. The camera used a different EV (exposure value) in each picture, of course. You can see that effect in the amber insulator that spans the second and third frames. It looks darker in the third frame because the camera compensated for the many brighter objects in that frame. Autopano can repair this to a great extent, but not here. Note how the backgrounds repeat in all four pictures. If I had put the camera on a tripod and panned across the scene, I would have gotten a better result. But Autopano did not exist in 2003. Regardless, you gotta love the colors in the sunlight! Imagine a crossarm full of these back in the day. (If you use "view original", please don't make any snide comments about the dust!). |
