It was a cold December morning in upstate New York when I happened upon an old pole leaning up against a shed along an old Western Union right of way. I looked around and found this piece covered with mud and damged from being plowed up by a tractor implement. I could make out a little junk. It was the first and only AM Ins. I ever found so I kept it. As it emerged from the acid bucket the picture became clearer. As the piece came back from the tumbler (thanks Bill R.), I couldn't believe it. I wish I could have found it before the tractor but at least it is in one piece. Heartbreak? Not really. Click for a shot of the other side and also from the base looking up the pinhole. Enjoy!
