I've posted many pics of the insulators on this tressel and the insulators on the other side. It would be my guess that the crossarms shown in this series is why a newer line was put up on the other side. I zoomed in on this pic to see the insulators in these pics. They are mostly Hemingray-40's, some beehives, probally B's and a few Brookfield CD 162's and 162.1's. What I didn't have to zoom in to see in this particular pic is the much older tressel in the background. It has been converted into a walking bridge and has been that way for as long as I can recall. It used to be a small guage rail and owned by the Catskill Mountain Railroad. A cousin of mine attempted to restore it to it's original glory with train included as a local attraction. With no support from the local political planning board my cousins dream has not come true to date. |
