Up for your consideration is this unusually-embossed Hemingray 106 with some pretty cool-looking tapered embossing. I don't know too much about these older 106s, but I know this one certainly looks different than anything I have ever seen around here. If you look at the embossing from the front, the bottoms of the "H" and "Y" in Hemingray have a serif on their outer bottom edge, making them appear larger than the letters in the middle of HEMINGRAY. I believe this is the [332] embossing. The colour is a nice aqua, leaning towards blue aqua. If the interesting embossing style weren't enough, the glass of this one also has a very distinct amber swirl running throughout the front dome, down to behind the wire groove. In the clear, bright blue glass, this amber swirl really stands out! There is also a nice medium sized bubble behind the front, upper wire ridge. I am reposting this piece with better photographs. I really wasn't happy with the photographs I had posted previously, as they were taken on an overcast day. We finally had some sun here today, so here is the new set of photos! These more nicely reveal the serifs on the bottoms of the "H" and "Y", as well as the nice blue aqua colour. The condition of the piece is excellent, with 3 lightly nicked drips on the front base, and two side-by-side drips in the rear base that are cracked down the middle, but with no glass missing. There is also an odd, very flat flake on the upper wire ridge at the right mould line. I am not even sure if this is damage, as it looks suspiciously like a lehr kiss. Either way, the piece displays magnificently for its age and relatively fragile design. I'm asking $25.00 U.S. plus shipping for this piece. It would surely make an excellent addition to an early Hemingray, or pony glass collection. I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions.
