This is actually a comparison of a number of similar spools.

top row, left to right:

1. CD 1080, exact match to the drawings. From the Hemingray dump. 2. CD 1080?, E.S.G.& CO. 3. CD 1080?, S S & CO 35 4. CD 1085, S.B.T.& T.Co.

bottom row, left to right:

1. CD 1085?, no embossing, solid base (no cavity) 2. CD 1085?, no embossing, base like the drawing 3. CD 1080?, no embossing, nice yellow green

It's a little hard to be sure on a couple of these, the SBT&T is slightly smaller diameter than the rest, and many of the probable CD 1080s differ from a couple probable CD 1085s only in their height.
