Up for sale is, as the title implies, the most hideously crude CREB 145 I have ever owned. The piece is a plain light aqua [253] Brookfield CD 145, with the double shop numbers on the front crown, these being a boldly embossed '16' over top of a light, crudely embossed '15', with W. BROOKFIELD / 45 CLIFF ST. / N.Y. beneath that, and "PATD NOV 13th 1883 / FEB 12th, 1884" on the rear crown. The embossing style is not the nifty part - the incredible part is the crudity of the glass - absolutely filled with many small to medium seed bubbles and pot stones. There are two larger bubbles on the right side of the front skirt, these being visible in the photo. Throughout the right side of the skirt, and running up into the region behind the rear wire groove, is a dark amber "worm" that is dark like a line from a permanent marker. The inner skirt is lopsided, and the skirt is also quite mishapen in areas due to some kind of deformation while still molten. The "BROOKFIELD" embossing is also quite nicely ghosted, very near to the location of the original embossing. All in all, an incredible piece! I don't see any damage issues. The only damage to speak of is a light fisheye, about 1/4" in diametre, on the rear crown. I'm asking $14.00 U.S. plus shipping for this nifty CREB that is guaranteed to fill a hole nicely in your lineup of early Brookfield glass! I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best! |
