Up for sale this afternoon is a pair of sparkling light aqua 1678 CD 162.4s. The example on the left is the sharp-dripped version, while the example on the right is the smooth-based counterpart from the same mould. The extra height added by the drips on the bottom of the SDP piece gives the piece quite a bit of extra dome glass. The smooth-based example is perhaps a little bit more blue than the sharp-dripped piece. Both pieces have a bit of damage, as is expected in this style. The sharp-dripped example has a small, 5/16" wide rear upper wire ridge flake, and 9 partially chipped drips. Some of these have been damaged by a couple "fan crack" type chips. All in all, this piece is in relatively good shape for this style. These big, "fat-dripped" pieces tend to be damaged very easily. The smooth-based example is superficially in good shape, save a small BB ding on the dome top, but its inner skirt is chipped heavily, with about 2/3 of it somewhat chipped. While damaged, this duo would make a good addition to any collection without any 1678s in it already. Considering the damage, the price is right. I am asking $10.00 U.S. plus shipping for the pair. I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. |
