During my hunt today, i managed to find a lefferts hook. Very interesting for Ohio, oldest thing i've found. The insulator was in the railroad ballast, sorta at the edge of the tracks at the ede of an incline, just sittin' right on the surface. It looks like some rain may have recently washed the insulator out of the hill side, how fortunate for me eh? Not the best condition i'm sure, but it's good enough as most of the insulator is there. I thought it was a piece of a soda bottle, or maybe a B beehive when i first saw it, nope, lefferts. There's still things to be found in the wild, mostely if your either crazy or bord enough to devote all your time to searching for them. Also, we got to eat some pancakes during our trip at an Ihop |
