Insulator ACSR Wire Tie

Here is the 1948 REA construction specification for tying in ACSR (aluminum conductor steel reinforced) conductors. The armor rod was added to prevent wear of the wire at the insulator groove. This tie was usually used on a "Cold" line, but there were many exceptions.
