This old style substation is in use at the Western Railway Museum, a train and electric trolley museum near Rio Vista, in Northern California. The power is supplied by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in a delta configured circuit. The old style switch tower and transformers were likely requested by the museum to PG&E at one time. What better place would be for them, other than a museum? It goes well with their other vintage electrical equipment.
