This description of "What do you see when you look at a power line" was published in the Sept. 2001 newsletter of the Central Electric Co-op in Redmond, OR. It was mailed to me by relatives who were consumers of the co-operative with a note saying, "We thought of you when we saw this" ;) I like it and think it is necessary because most people DON'T know what they are looking at when they see a pole. To them it is just a bunch of ugly stuff cluttering up the sky but will tolerate it as long as their power is on. Amazing how they unintentionally made those insulators (No. 10) look like aqua glass !
