To the insulator collecting community:

This is our formal announcement that our participation in the production of the show commemoratives for the National Insulator Association has come to an end. This project was begun in 1970 by Frank Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1979, Carol and I took over the production from the Millers, producing the commemorative for more than 30 years.

We are proud to announce that the original mold and production rights have been donated to that National Insulator Association. The show commemoratives will continue to be made annually for each of the national shows.

2009 marked the 40th year of production. The commemorative was made using a vaseline glass. As a farewell to the project, we asked Mosser glass to carnivalize a total of 40 of this year's run as a special "end of the 4th decade" memento. We have kept one each for our grandchildren and presented three as gifts.

We have 33 units which will be sold on a "first come, first filled" basis. You may place your order with PayPal using our account: grampa_mac@insulatoremporium.com . The cost including shipping is $45 each. Orders will be filled beginning January 4th, 2010.

Look for new and exciting color production by the NIA this spring.

Thank you for your long and loyal support to the NIA glass commemorative project.
