Well, this was a tough one to place a value on and it appears there's no interest at my previous asking price, so I'll try one more time before trying to sell it elsewhere. Previous price was $95--I have a little extra room in this one, so it's NOW $75 plus shipping, last call. Here's a real gem for the commemorative collector. In more recent years the commemorative oddities like this appear to be more available and some possibly intentional, primarily due to the increasing interest in them. However, to find one from the earlier years is quite unusual, since they were considered rejects back then. Based on the appearance of this little guy, the Herkimer National must have been one heck of a party! (I've heard stories from some old-timers about the after-hours alcohol consumption that occurred at some of these earlier Nationals.) This one must have been among the attendees, being slumped way over to one side. For added character, it even has an oval shallow factory open bubble on the lower wire ridge that looks like a belly button (smoothed over, no sharp edges).
