Just acquired this in a bulk deal and thought someone might like to have a bottle from the 1840 - 1850 era. The embossing is as follows: DR. D JAYNE'S / TONIC VERMIFUGE / 84 CHES ? ST PHILA. This is not rare and it has a lot of ground wear from being in the ground but still looks pretty good. It has one of the nicer, heavier, tubular, open PONTIL scars I have seen. The lip finish is the older inward rolled type. It has no chips or cracks. I am asking $20.00 to your door which is pretty reasonable for an embossed bottle this age. First e-mail gets it. I might consider a trade if it doesn't sell quickly. |
