Over the last short while, I have developed a good working relationship with Vasily. Vasily lives and works in Minsk as a personal driver / security bodyguard for the president of a large corporation. That is his day job. His other interest is actually going out and picking insulators to sell on eBay. [The other job]. Vasily has mentioned how there are many ads in the papers and on the local internet offering to buy insulators. He believes these are being sold on eBay or elsewhere, perhaps privately. On Saturday, he said he was off the next day on a collecting trip, so I asked for pictures of his findings. On Monday, he returned after a 620 Km round trip, and this is just one of the pictures he sent to me. I now believe the Belarussian cobalts to be legitimate, and not nuked. Note that there are a number with rust and or moss in the picture. I don't believe this happens while sitting in boxes in a warehouse . I personally believe these to be the "real thing", and not nuked. OK, there will be the cynics who will say the whole thing was staged, just like the moon landing and 9-11. Nothing I say or do will ever change their minds, nor will I make any effort to do so. But, I believe, and that is good enough for me. You can develop your own sources to prove / disprove my theory, and that is all it is. My belief is that these Belarussian cobalts are real. |
