Up for sale is a real beauty of a B No. 44 CD 145. The glass on this one is a beautiful more-transparent-than-normal medium aqua shade. Normally these are darker shades of aqua. These things are famed for their crudity, and this example is a good one to demonstrate. I could go on for an hour listing its various crudity-indicative qualities. The insulator is filled with tones of seed to micro-sized bubbles, and of course the one LARGE cavity clearly visible as protruding from the inner skirt region into the insulator. This cavity measures about 1 1/4" long by 3/4" tall. A finger is easily inserted into this cavity. Almost attached to the cavity, but slightly above and to the right, is a 1/4" wide by 3/8" tall "snot" blob in the shape of a tadpole. This thing actually looks like someone sneezed into the insulator! There is also one smaller "cavity" in the left skirt - this one only about 1/4" deep, and about 1" long. Additionally, there are several unmelted fragments of glass on the dome top, and the surface of the piece is covered with straw marks. All in all, this is one crude piece! If you could see this piece in person, you would fall in love instantly! The condition is great! There is a small scuff on the front base edge, and the normal minor flaking along the inner base edge, from the sharp moulded glass that these "rounded base" pieces produced. Excellent condition! I'm asking $19.00 U.S. plus shipping for this excellent junk-in-glass example. I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best! |
