It's one thing to hear about a piece which came about by reworking another CD's mold, but to place them side by side and verify is a whole new experience for me. As soon as I got this little 124.5 back from Springfield (thanks Charles), I gathered up all my 124.3's and started comparing them to see if any matched up... and sure enough, after turning, twisting, angling and positioning about 500 different ways, I'm convinced this 124.5 was born of the adjacent 124.3's reworked mold. I also tried about 500 different ways to get an acceptable photo before giving up and resorted to a marker to highlight the embossings. This tough to find little 124.5 not only helped me complete my 124 through 124.5 series, but also helped complete my line of Chambers. (2 birds with one stone) I didn't speak with one person at Springfield that didn't have a great time visiting with other collectors and find a sought after piece or 2 or 3 or more. I think Terry Drollinger found a mini collection's worth of LRI's he couldn't say no to. Thanks to all the great folks that make Springfield the incredible experience it is.
