I found this piece at a junk shop in South Georgia yesterday. I had a couple of folks request that I post a picture. It is not listed in the PG. A little background: I have seen a lot of pics of irradiated or thermally-altered pieces. To me, this piece does not have the "muddy" brown color of an irradiated piece. It is identical in color to the CD 216 Armstrong and WTs. The color has great clarity and uniformity. It also has a little bit of surface staining on the dome as if it were partially buried. The only flaws are a couple of small fleabites. I found it on a lower shelf in the back of a very old store. It had quite a bit of dirt in the pinhole and between the skirts. It just doesn't look to me to be an altered piece. I am enclosing a couple of pics taken quickly at my daughter's house. I have had trouble photographing this deep amber color even with my better camera and light box at home. One picture shows my wife holding it directly in front of the sun to attempt to show the deep, uniform color.

I'm posting 3 pictures. I'd be interested to hear opinions on this piece. Next Pic: [id=262975488]
