Found this little number in a local antique market and, recognizing the name Edison as being related to our wonderful hobby, thought I'd grab it as a "go with". Now my question is, what was its purpose? The store owner wasn't sure but thought it was used as a heating element, as it looks to screw into a standard light fixture... sounds dangerous to me, though, and if true, and I wondered how many barns burned down due to dust swirling in the air and igniting. Can anyone confirm or deny? Hit "Next" for more views of the item. Thanks for any info anyone might provide.
