A close up of the back side of the old pole on Goat Hill. The fuse cutout hangs open and the secondary wires to the house have been cut off the classic MSP Co. spool rack long ago. Goat Hill is a great place to walk and get some excersize, the view is terrific and the air is fresh off the ocean and the bay. Standing with my back to the woods while taking this photo, I thought of the country behind me, mountains and timberland without a house or inhabitant for 10 to 15 miles and lots of wild animals. The utility has kept the line there even though it's private property, to maintain the easement. This would save a future customer there about $10,000 seeking re-connection. Note the seldom seen U-bolt clamps on the downguy strain insulator.
