I had hoped to get a pic of this classic 1930s NSP transformer pole (see http://snurl.com/skxpc ) but when I went around to this town the other day, I see THIS instead!. The pole in the foreground carries a small capacitor bank and the pole in the back with 3 transformers boosts the 4kV in town to 12.5 or 13.8kV to serve another town to the north.
