Went shopping with the wife today. Left her at the Mall after lunch and did some of my own or favorite kind of shopping. I prefer hunting in the wild but I find good insulators now and then in junk or antique shops. Found one today that isan't listed. It's the Brookfield CD 162.3 on the right. It has some great fizzy bubble swirls and that's the only reason I gave the guy $4 for it. There were a couple light aquas that I refused to pay that much for. Turned out I did better then I thought. This one is either a dark blue or a Teal Aqua (anybody have a pic of a true Teal Aqua colored insulators?) with a #10 on top of dome. When I returned home I didn't stay long. Dusk had arrived by this time. I knew where there was a couple poles at the other end of the tressel that runs through town I didn't get the chance to check out yet. That shouldn't take too much time. Believe it or not though I almost ran out of time before I finally walked back down to my car with the remaining of the insulators in this pic. I turned about 3X's as many Hemingray No. 40's then are shown. I ended up taking the best five. These all have amber swirls. Anyone who hunts the wild knows these are not nearly as common as the plan aquas or blues. Both of the two poles were downed for my conveince. All the Hemingray's came off the first pole which had four double sets of four crossarms. four on each side. The Brookfield CD 152 with all the amber came of the second down. That one only had one lonely crossarm. Needless to say I was happy enough with what it contributed to my bag. To see the my last few hunts of other pieces I've gotten from thisa same line going through my town and nieghboring towns click here. [id=259669178] |
