I have listed several of these insulator for auction at the E-place. The Teepee CD 157, American Beehive and one of the Amber Swirled CD 152 Brookfields. Advance Search RogerP518 and you'll be sure to find all the insulators up for auction there. Thank you. Last year I waited to climb a pole after dark so as not to be seen. It was right next to the road in the village where I live. It was a very high pole and the guide wire was not any longer attached to any thing. It was a very scary climb. I didn't get all the insulators I had wanted because three or four were way out on a very lose cross arm. Guess fate shined on me. All for of those amber swirled with milk and junk were in a pile of cross arms where another pole also stood before. There was a total of four poles that used to be. Some thing told me to go check and see if these poles were down like the one below the tressel next to the road was. These four poles were above and before or north of the tressel. I'm sure my friend Todd will recall were they were. Maybe I'll find the pics I took of the location and maybe a few of my Icon friends here will also recall the adventures of Roger Poole. Below is a list of the insulators I took from this section of track. They are left to right in order of this pic. I'm not saying what one of them is. I'll tell you with one that is though and you may guess. The answer will be the next pic. BTW, I did leave a good number of commons or broken ones behind. One was a Crown Embossed Brookfield Creb with an up side down 14 on the front dome. Anything special about that one King of Crebs? Row 1 (far left) CD 153 (?) This is the area where I climbed my latter for a CD 136 Brookfield B&O and was very pleased and excited I found a CD 138 Postal Tel & Tel on another crossarm. Anyone remember that? Good think I picked those then. They could very well have been broken or taken by a lineman! Sorry I could link the two pics I've just mentioned. It was taken April 1, 2007 The title was One Hunt Led to Another. [id=259097057] |
