Pictured together at Claude Wambold's fall backyard insulator show and picnic and reunited for the first time in 20 years are the 3 hosts of the 1989 National in Allentown Pennsylvania. From left to right are Dave Wiecek, Frank Edgar and Doug Williams. The National that year was held at the George Washington Motor Lodge in Allentown, Pennsylvania on July 14-16, 1989. Doug Williams unexpectedly showed up from North Carolina to attend this year. Frank Edgar has made periodic appearances during the June show. On this day Frank was wearing a hat featuring the show logo. Standing there taking the picture it was hard to believe it was 20 years ago. I was only 23 at the time of the National show. I still occasionally hear compliments from those that attended which is really good to hear. It truly was a memorable experience. The great looking stonework in the background is the side of Claude's house.
