I stopped by a yard antique sale the other day as I just happened to be driving past and found an old antique steel pail with about a dozen insulators thrown into it. They were all H.G.CO. and Hemingray CD 162s and 164s, and they were all aqua. Except this one. I picked up this nice Hemingray Blue piece and the seller said "Oh, hey, that one's got a chip in it. Why don't you grab one there without a chip?" I pointed out to him that this one was a different color and I wasn't interested in the aqua insulators. He just shrugged and I gave him the $1.50 he was asking for it.

It must be a bit hard to find, given a $40-50 book value, but the unfortunate bruise - not chip - in the front skirt is a major detractor. It looks kind of nasty for having no glass missing. But after cleaning it up I found a neat little amber swirl. all in all, kind of a neat little unexpected find on an afternoon when insulators were far from being on my mind.
