Tripartite Steel Poles On Train Headed For Arizona

This photo is of a bunch of really long steel poles loaded on a train car with a sign stating that they are for the US Government Reclamation Service in Phoenix, Az. No insulators here, just thought the sign was neat and the poles spanning two train cars was pretty cool. Dates to around 1901-1905 period. Anyone in Arizona know if any of these are still in service or around? They would last out in the dryer Arizona climate, unlike here in western Pa where everything rusts away!
