I have dumped over a thousand insulators this summer, glass, porcelain, pintypes and suspensions, but have kept just a few for some projects I have in mind. I have spent some time on how I might use a suspension as either a bird bath or feeder . I have tried several other ways, but thought this one has a bit more appeal. [id=211647798]

I found an old used 18 -20 inch JD (John Deere) disc in the inventory shed and welded the cap off a suspension to it. I added a clevis with a 12 inch drop. Underneath I hung a 10 inch and a 6 inch disc.

As a bonus I figure this thing should be squirrel proof.
