Insulator Hunt 8-23-09 Near Toccoa, GA

After finding the old abandoned railroad, we decided to go back to a prime spot we have found insulators many times before. We always joke around and say that we ALWAYS find something when we go back to this spot, and it held true today as well!!

Here is a CD 121 Brookfield in Emerald Green still in the ground. Unfortunately, it was broken into 4 big pieces, but I was able to put it back together later that afternoon with some good old Permatex Glass Repair.

This is the first nice colored insulator EVER found on this old line, so we now know there is good stuff to be found along it!! Fall is coming soon, YIPEE!!
