Green Porcelain is about every bit as elusive as royal purple glass is. It is scarcely ever encountered, save in certain, unusual circumstances. What is most unusual is the relatively common nature of the colour green in glass insulators. Why were so few porcelain pieces made in such a colour? Regardless, it remains difficult to find green porcelain insulators. Up for grabs here is a duo of two such green porcelain pieces, both signal styles. I have no idea as to the U-# of either of the pieces. The condition of both pieces is very good. The example on the left, more of a browny green than a true green, is nearly pristine, save a very small area of light scratching on the upper wire ridge of one side. The example on the right is a brighter, French green colour, and it too is in excellent condition, save one small flake off the inner skirt, just on the edge of the firing rest. The flake measures about 1/4" long. I'm asking $13.00 U.S. plus shipping for the two of them, or $7.50 each. I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best! |
